Ariana Lildhar

MSW, RSW

Hi, I’m Ariana! I’m a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from York University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University. I am registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).

I support children and adolescents with concerns such as emotional regulation, anxiety, low mood, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social-emotional learning, school-related difficulties, and peer relationships. My experience includes providing individual counselling to elementary-aged students within the Toronto District School Board, facilitating emotional regulation and social skills programming, and supporting children through creative, group-based, and animal-assisted interventions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, creative, and strengths based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy informed strategies, social emotional learning, child centred approaches, and developmentally appropriate skill building. I enjoy combining these evidence informed practices with arts based and play based interventions, helping children explore emotions, practise new skills, and work through challenges in ways that feel engaging and natural to them. I adapt sessions to each child’s age, developmental needs, personality, interests, strengths, and individual goals so that therapy never feels one size fits all.

I believe children make meaningful progress when they feel safe, accepted, and genuinely connected to their therapist. My goal is to make therapy feel welcoming and engaging while helping children build emotional awareness, confidence, coping skills, and practical strategies they can use at home, at school, and in their relationships.

Working collaboratively with parents and caregivers is also an important part of my practice. I value understanding the child within the context of their family and everyday environment and believe that creating a supportive circle of care helps children feel more secure as they learn, grow, and work through challenges.

Above all, I aim to provide a space where children and families feel heard, respected, and supported. I want therapy to be a place for creativity, connection, learning, and growth, where each child can recognize their strengths and work toward reaching their full potential.
